San Francisco USY - Now Defunct
SFUSY is a chapter of the New Frontier Region of United Synagogue Youth, an international youth organization devoted to keeping teens connected with the Jewish community. USY also provides many social action and leadership opportunities for young adults. USYer learn to plan and execute events, use resources, communicate effectively, respect team members, and work together to reach common goals. USYers meet for Regional Conferences where they meet other Jewish teens from around the region, not only to bond and have fun but to have deep discussions about Judaism and what it means to them. USY is a wonderful, enriching program, and we hope that you will consider joining!

Our Story
We were founded in 1949 by German-speaking Jews, many of whom spent WW II in Japanese-occupied Shanghai.
Today, we are about 100 family units with diverse backgrounds and lifestyles.
We are affiliated with the Conservative Movement.
