Membership at B'nai Emunah

You Are Invited to Become a Member of B'nai Emunah

Everyone is always welcome at B'nai Emunah. Membership creates the bricks and mortar that build and sustain us and allow for programming and services.

No one is ever turned away from our community because of financial constraints

We offer the following types of membership:

• Full Membership

  Full Membership is open to any Jew or to any family unit with at least one Jewish member

  Full Membership includes:

  • Free High Holy Day tickets
  • Reduced member cost for events, gift shop items,
  • Member price for school tuition, and newsletter mailings.

  The dues for full members are:

  • $2000 per year for couples and families with at least one Jewish member
  • $1500 per year for singles

• Young Adult Membership

  Young Adult Individual or Family Membership is for individuals or families who are 35 years of age or under and for whom synagogue membership is new.  This category is to encourage membership for younger, new members for whom the cost of regular dues may be a barrier.

  The dues for Young Adult Members are

  • Year 1 - $500 per year for families; $360 per year for individuals
  • Year 2 - $750 per year for families; $500 per year for individuals
  • Year 3 and beyond - Full membership dues apply

• Trial Membership

  Trial Membership is a limited six-month membership for an individual or a  family unit who seriously wants to explore membership at B'nai Emunah. 

  Trial membership is for individuals or families with at least one Jewish member that have

  • never been a member of B'nai Emunah
  • never attended the High Holy Day Services at B'nai Emunah

  Currently the Trial Membership dues are $100 for six months and include High Holy Day tickets at no extra charge.

• Associate Membership

  Associate Membership is designed for people who want to be part of the B'nai Emunah community but are constrained from full participation.  In particular, Associate Members are individuals or family units who:

  • Belong to another local synagogue
  • Live outside the Bay Area
  • Are children or grandchildren of current B'nai Emunah members.

  Benefits of Associate Membership include:

  • Reduced Price for High Holyday tickets
  • Reduced Tuition for Shabbat Shalom School
  • Discount of Gift Shop items and newsletter mailings

  The dues for Associate Members are $500 per year.

• Friend of B'nai Emunah

  Friend of B'nai Emunah is an affiliation category available flat fee of $90 per year for anyone who has never been a member of B'nai Emunah. Benefits include newsletter mailings and discounts on gift shop items.
