Fran Burgess

Fran Burgess is a resident of Berkeley California and has sung both regular and High Holidays services at synagogues throughout the Bay Area for the last seven years. Her training is classical, and Ms. Burgess sang with the San Francisco Opera for ten seasons as a member of the professional chorus. Before being engaged by San Francisco Opera, she sang with various professional choruses, including the San Francisco Symphony chorus, as well as performing solo roles with regional community opera companies in the Bay Area. She has studied at Boston Conservatory, at Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, and at The Manhattan School of Music.

She is currently a fifth year cantorial student at the Academy for Jewish Religion in Los Angeles.
