Parking

Though B'nai Emunah does not have a parking lot, street parking is available on both Taraval Street and 46th Avenue.

Public Transportation

MUNI Streetcar

Take the L-TARAVAL to 46th Avenue.  The L Streetcar runs west from downtown, through the Castro District and West Portal, and across the Sunset District.

The L stops directly in front of the synagogue.

MUNI Bus

There are several possibilities:

• Take the 18-46TH AVENUE to 46th Avenue and Taraval.

  The 18 bus runs in both directions between Stonestown and the Legion of Honor.

• Take the 23-MONTEREY to 45th Avenue and Sloat. 

  The 23 bus runs west from Hunter's Point, through the Excelsior District and St. Francis Wood, to the Zoo.  After exiting at 45th Avenue and Sloat, there are three options

  1. Walk 1/2 block West to 46th Avenue, then turn Right and continue walking four blocks North to Taraval Street.
  2. Walk 1/2 block west to 46th Avenue, then 1/2 block North to the inbound L-TARAVAL stop at 46th Avenue and Wawona Street. Take the L-TARAVAL three blocks north to 46th Avenue and Taraval Street.
  3. Cross Sloat Blvd. and wait at the bus stop between 44th and 45th Avenue.  Take the 18-46TH AVENUE bus five blocks North to the corner of 46th Avenue and Taraval.

From BART

B'nai Emunah is reachable within one transfer of several BART stations.

From  EMBARCADERO, MONTGOMERY, POWELL, or CIVIC CENTER stations exit the BART side of the station, enter the MUNI side of the station, and take the L-TARAVAL train to Taraval Street and 46th Avenue.

From the GLEN PARK station, cross the street and take the 23-MONTEREY bus to Sloat Blvd. and 45th Avenue.

From SAMTRANS (Daly City / Colma

Take the 122 bus north to the Stonestown shopping center. Walk 1/2 block to 19th Avenue and Buckingham Way and connect there with the MUNI 18-46TH AVENUE bus.  Take the bus to 46th Avenue and Taraval Street.

From GOLDEN GATE TRANSIT (Marin County)

B'nai Emunah is reachable with from points north with one transfer.  Take the ROUTE 10, ROUTE 70, or ROUTE 80 bus to Market St. and 8th Street, enter the CIVIC CENTER MUNI Station, and take the L-Taraval Outbound to Taraval Street and 46th Avenue.
